The CFMOTO 450CL-C AMT is an innovative variant of the mid-size cruiser that introduces an Automated Manual Transmission (AMT), designed to provide a "twist-and-go" riding experience while maintaining the mechanical feel of a traditional 6-speed gearbox. It is powered by the same 449cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crankshaft, producing 40 hp and 42 Nm of torque, but removes the clutch lever entirely to prevent stalling and simplify urban riding. The AMT system offers three distinct riding modes—D (Drive) for relaxed cruising, DS (Sport) for more aggressive shifts, and M (Manual) for gear changes via handlebar-mounted paddles—boasting a class-leading shift time of just 120 ms. Beyond the transmission, the AMT version receives specific hardware upgrades including a larger 240 mm rear brake disc for improved stopping power and revised switchgear ergonomics specifically designed for the paddle-shift system. The bike retains its classic bobber-inspired silhouette with 16-inch tires, a 705 mm seat height, and a maintenance-free Gates belt drive, while also featuring a "low-speed creep" function to assist with parking and heavy traffic.
