Zero Motorcycles’ Black Forest Exclusively for Europe

Posted On : 18-04-2018

Zero Motorcycles has just launched the new DSR Black Forest Edition, which is targeted for dual sport touring. Exclusively for European motorcyclists, the Zero DSR Black Forest claims to have a range of 262 km on full charge.

The Black Forest uses the highest power and energy density battery technology in the electric vehicle industry. With an additional battery and the option of quick charging, the range expands to 328 km, an impressive number for any electric dual sport. Furthermore, with every hour of charging, the battery gets a range of 151 km. Not bad at all.

With the increasing number of charge stations in Europe, the owners of these bikes can certainly expect high performance potential, especially since the Black Forest Edition is specifically designed and catered to the European consumer.

Managing director of Zero Motorcycles, Umberto Uccelli, said that since their customers have been asking for a model like this for years, “The Zero Motorcycles DSR ZF14.4 Black Forest Edition is the first model we’ve ever developed to meet the specific demands of Europe’s adventure and touring riders.”

The Black Forest Edition features a black aluminum top and side panniers, a touring windscreen and seat and dual sport drop bars. There will also be LED auxiliary lights and a headlight protector for off-road use. Clad in dark colours, the cherry on top comes with the new (and optional) charge tank and a set of premium integrated luggage.

According to Uccelli, “Riding a Zero is the most connected way to move through nature. The Zero Motorcycles DSR Black Forest extends this to new, longer, and more fun adventures. We invite you to experience your world for the first time with seamless, silent and pure dual sport propulsion.”

The Zero DSR Black Forest edition will have limited availability from select dealers.
