Police also reminded riders to secure unattended motorcycles: remove ignition keys, lock the bike, and never store spare keys or transponders in its compartments. Owners should park in well-lit locations, maintain an anti-theft alarm, secure a motorcycle cover at both ends, and consider additional protection such as a disc brake lock or suspension guard.
