The Motorcycle Helmet That Will Call The Ambulance And Text Your Family If You Get Into An Accident

The ‘Iron Man’ powered exoskeleton has long since been the emblem of the new age of technology by which millions of innocent lives could be saved. Originally built by Tony Stark, Iron Man himself, to break free from captivity, the armor has an assortment of onboard systems which we found replicated in a new innovation by one start-up company in Pakistan.
Called ‘Let’s Innovate’, the tech neophyte has its hands on various industries like automation, software development, and graphic design to name a few. Their new creation, Helli, is a helmet that features an automatic system where it calls emergency services or texts one’s relatives after a crash.

We have seen many beautifully designed helmets but none like this, no, because Helli even comes equipped with Bluetooth, speakers, blood oxygen sensor-based heart rate monitor, and a dashcam.

True to their word, the nine-man team of Let’s Innovate has found an old-existing problem and created a solution for it.

The idea for Helli came about when the Pakistani team was fed up with how unreachable their team members were while on the road who all use motorbikes to commute. Managing Director Waqas Khalil said, “We looked at the options available and everything was either too expensive or way too basic.”

Just like what every other tech resident of Silicon Valley had in mind, these guys decided to do it themselves.

“So we thought let’s develop a helmet that would solve the connectivity problem,” Khalil continued, “but also at the same time increase rider safety.” After they discovered what they could do, they “started incorporating emergency SMS, rider heart rate, and health systems into the helmet using a companion app”.

They are, at present, in closed beta phase, with the helmet undergoing rigorous stress testing to find ways to improve its shape and strength. Their goal is to launch it the middle of 2018 or earlier if things go smoothly.

According to Khalil, the price varies “depending on the market and the feature set in place” although the basic version would probably cost between $70 and $150 depending, of course, on taxes.

We really like the sound of this helmet so, hopefully, it has a future better than the crowdfunded Skully.
