The Game-Changing Domio Pro Helmet: First the Audio, Then the Communication

Domio Sports has had an excellent track record so far, with their top-rated helmet audio system gaining lots of recognition and love from its users, and now they are about to up the game with the all-new Domio Pro.

 

As the company behind Domio, they entrusted themselves with a mission to completely rethink how audio and communications are enjoyed during activities that specifically require the use of a helmet. The two co-founders, Bart and Sebastian, are long-time friends passionate about music, with motorcycling as just one of the many activities they enjoy from time to time.

Yet they struggled to find an audio solution that worked well when wearing a helmet, as most were either too uncomfortable, provided poor quality of music, troublesome to assemble or just simply unsafe.

And so, they created a solution for themselves.
Domio is an audio system that uses the concept of a powerful surround experience, and the enhanced Domio Pro builds on the audio performance and adds voice communication to the mix.

Domio works via a device mounted to the outside of the helmet, and is engineered to transfer sound energy through solid materials - in this case, the helmet shell.

Using their Vicro-Audio Technology, micro-vibrations are sent into the shell of the helmet, effectively creating what they call “a dome of audio on the inside”.

With the Domio Pro technology, comes an added wireless, noise cancelling “air mic”. The mic clips onto the outside of the helmet as well, and is connected wireless to the main Domio unit. According to the company, it uses beamforming technology to cancel out wind noise and vibrations coming from the helmet shell, and supposedly only accepts sound coming from the user’s mouth.

This would ideally lead to an awesome and seamlessly powerful voice communication system.

Furthermore, Domio Pro features all-day battery and is water resistant.

As the system is mounted onto the outside of the helmet, this guarantees comfort and convenience for the rider, as well as safety since the ears will be unobstructed by the traditional in-ear devices.

It also boasts incredible versatility, assnap-in helmet mounts are used instead of built-in helmet technology, so it can be used on pretty much any helmet available. The systems are attached to the helmet with the 3M Smart Mounting System, which is claimed to be the strongest mounts available and able to withstand any force or impact.
