The Future Electric Three-wheeler, Yamaha MW-Vision Personal Mobility Concept
When you are thinking of buying a class 2B Three-Wheeler motorcycle, these might be few brands/models that might be the around in the market for quite a while.
The PGO I ME 150 Wel Bike, Piaggio MP3 125RL, Adiva AD3 200ST and Yamaha MW125 Tricity.
Of these four brands, Yamaha Motorcycle, the Japan manufacturer has been consistently evolving with revolutionary upgrades to their LMW - Leaning Multi-Wheel technology.
With the introduction of the Yamaha Niken concept in 2015 and the road production version of the Yamaha Niken in 2018, The company deemed to perfect the art of 3 wheeler tilting trikes motorcycles.
In the 46th Tokyo Motor Show held in Oct 2019, the President of Yamaha Motor introduces their concept three-wheeler motorcycle, Yamaha MW-Vision.



Creating the comfort of riding, the concept model uses the Leaning Multi-Wheel technology (LMW) which enable users to achieve the feel of the 2 wheels like a standard motorcycle and a fully covered shield protecting the riders from all-terrain.
The concept announced that it might be an electric motorcycle with several impressive add on features: ‘ACT’ and reverse drive.
The ACT, also known as 'Attitude Control Technology’ can control the lean angle and prevent it from topping down even when stationary. Yamaha president's ambitious goal is to someday create motorcycle that leans but do not fall.






As for the reverse drive function, which only the big bikes like the Honda Goldwing has, this concept seems like a 2 in 1 machine. Car & Bike features rolled into one!
While Singapore has already started to allow electric motorcycle on the Roads, this future concept might be ready to replace the old version of the Yamaha MW.
