The Collab of Pirelli and MV Agusta Is Finally Here, To Start Production in January

Posted On : 22-12-2017

To celebrate Pirelli’s partnership with MV Agusta as their sole tire supplier for all Schiranna-manufactured motorcycles, they will be building a new and exclusive Brutale edition, the ‘Brutale 800 RR Pirelli’, to join the assembly of assorted models of the Rerparto Corse.

It was announced on Nov. 3 of this year, between Pirelli and MV Agusta, detailing their vision for Pirelli tyres to be on all MV Agusta motorcycles currently in production. As they both have national pride being “Made in Italy”, they have similar outlooks on design, innovation, and the pursuit to achieve the ultimate performance for their creations that seems to have garnered an enthusiastic response from their loyal followers.

In collaboration with the Castiglioni Research Centre and Pirelli’s Bicocca Laboratory, they came up with an amazing new model that is a huge leap forward for the Italian marque.

The Brutale 800 RR Pirelli, based on the previous Brutale 800 RR, receives two livery options that will display the exclusive partnership of the two Italian companies. Even the headlight unit bracket, rear subframe, and airbox output grilles got a new custom paint scheme to further highlight the craftsmanship of the new Brutale.

It has a custom-stitched saddle to math both available colour schemes, F4 lightweight rims, and a specifically-widened rear rim to hold a new Pirelli tyre called the ‘Diablo Supercosa SP’ – the front rims with the 120/70 ZR17 and the rear rims with the 200/55 – with the option to order a special coloured wall.

However, the only downfall of this new make is that the production is limited, although much better than their past collaboration, as in the ‘Diablo Brutale’, that was a single and non-commercialised unit.

The production of the Brutale 800 RR Pirelli begins as early as January 2018. The MSRP is USD21,598, which is about SGD39,806, and includes a three-year factory warranty as well as two years of road assistance.
