The recall was officially issued by the Australian Consumer and Competition Commission due to the possibility of frame breakages.
“Due to improper paint application, the torque specification of the front engine bolts may cause paint to wear down with heat and vibration from the engine,” the notice stated, noting that this issue could cause the bolts to loosen.
“The engine mounting bolts may break, which could cause the frame to break. This may pose an accident hazard to the rider and other road users.”

Owners who could be potentially affected by this severe problem are advised to notify their nearest Suzuki dealership, in which they will have their motorcycles inspected.
242 of these motorbikes are said to be affected by this recall.

While this issue is said to only affect those in Australia, it does not do any harm to give your motorcycles a thorough check before you hit the roads.
In the event that you do find any faults, however minor you may think it is, it is advisable to send your motorbike for inspection instead of hitting the roads and causing potential harm to yourself and other road users.
