Sign Up For Classes Now at YCRS and Don't Miss the Opportunity to Learn from the Best Female Racer
From January 6 to 7 of next year, trainees of the Yamaha Champions Riding School (YCRS) will be introduced to a guest instructor for their upcoming classes at Arizona Motorsports Park (AMP). They will be taught by former professional racer, Elena Myers, 24, the first woman to ever win an AMA for Pro Racing as well as any kind of professional motorsports race at Daytona International Speedway.

Myers is a YCRS graduate herself, working with Ken Hill - who has coached multiple MotoAmerica race winners - during her time there as well as Jason DiSalvo at his own riding academy.Keith Culver, COO of YCRS, said that he has “long term hopes with this adventure”, adding that after his time riding with Myers last year at Thunderhill during one of their demo days, “she’s still got it”. Of course, this is a no-brainer because females rule, but also, the discipline and dedication a sportsman has to his or her sport never really diminishes but only grow stronger, glows brighter, as the years progress.
“I seriously hope that she meshes with the crew,” Culver said, “and becomes addicted to the program like the rest of us are.”
There are no foreseeable problems, however, as Myers herself said she was “thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the folks at YCRS”, stating that because she has learned a lot from the academy, she feels that the program “is incredible for riders of all levels”. With humility she added, “I look forward to seeing where this goes and hope to help as many people as I can along the way.”
As mentioned, classes with Myers would start on January 6, 2018 until just the next day. Meanwhile, weekend classes would include ChampSchool of 4:1 instructor ratio, van rides, video review, optional bike and gear rentals, catered lunch and dinner, and many more. There would be 20 minutes of track time every day, don’t worry, and 20 minutes of class time for ChampDay.
