Shocking Video Shows Father Tying Daughter to Back of Motorcycle in a Dangerous Attempt to Make Her Go to School
The video shows an angry father driving his reluctant daughter to school on a motorbike.
The incident took place on the busy streets of Yunfu in Guangdong Province on 23rd April. While seeing a parent drive their children to school is not an uncommon sight in Southeast China, this particular father has taken it too far.
He had strapped his daughter to the back of his motorcycle before proceeding to drive her to school. The reluctant girl could be heard crying in terror, what with her body being tied down to a fast-moving vehicle and with her legs hanging dangerously off the back of the motorbike.
Some citizens in China have managed to capture the moment and reported it to the police, blaming the father for the potential harm he could have caused the girl.
The Yunfu police have managed to identify and track down the father, who was then given a verbal warning and reminder that such an act could have easily caused injuries to the girl.
This was not the first time something like this had happened. In 2015, a man was also trying to drive his unwilling daughter to school and had eventually tied her to a motorcycle with rope. This action had earned the father a day behind bars.
While education is indeed important, it is unfair to the children and other road users due to the potential danger such an incident could have caused.
If something worse had happened, no amount of books studied would be able to save a life.
