Question yourself, how safe is riding as a transport for your daily travelling without proper gears. Some people claim that it’s safe because they themselves are safe rider be it what they wear. Other road user will not understand due to their negligence or the expected risk they are causing.
Safety comes first when it comes to riding with proper gear.
Firstly, putting on PSB approved helmet to protect your head and these helmets are tested many times before they are put up on sale. Do not go for helmets that are stylish.
Secondly, avoid putting on dark colored clothes. Put on bright color clothes or if you have a higher budget, go for riding jackets or a reflective vest. These will help other road user to see you better in the night and also if you fall it will lessen your injury.
Lastly, put on riding shoes or normal covered shoes and a pair gloves. Do not wear flip flop out of convenient sake, you still want to continue riding with all your fingers and toes.
By having these proper gears, you will feel more comfortable when you’re riding and enjoy your ride to the fullest by not having to worry much and be safe at the same time. Remember, do not go for gears that disadvantage you. Everything comes with a price. Ride safe!
