According to the press release, the popular motorbikes also feature “a fuel-injected 500cc engine with modern classic styling that’s sure to turn heads.”
Here’s what the president of Royal Enfield North America, Rod Copes, has to say: “The Classic 50 is currently the most popular motorcycle in our lineup, and we are excited to offer improvements to an already fun, accessible and affordable motorcycle.”
“The addition of anti-lock brakes is is confidence-inspiring for new and experienced riders alike, and the new colours are a great addition to the Classic lineup - including the new flat-black Stealth with a blacked-out engine and exhaust. The base model Classic 500 starts at an attractive MSRP of $5,599 USD (approximately $7,498 SGD),” Copes continued.

The upgrade of the Classic 500 also means more colours to choose from. New colours include the Gun Metal Grey and Stealth, while the Green and Graphite colours come as part of the Chrome designs. These new additions will be joining the myriad of available colours: Black, Lagoon, Battle Green, Desert Storm and Squadron Blue, which means more personalized options for the rider too!
However, these updates have only been confirmed for the bikes in North America so far. Along with the Classic 500 updates, Royal Enfield is also slated to release upgrades for the Bullet 500 as well as the highly anticipated touring model Himalayan. The Indian based company has also recently announced another exciting motorbike - the limited edition Classic 500 Pegasus, which pays tribute to past war machine Flying Flea 125.
