650cc Parallel-Twin Engine Delivers Smooth and Versatile Performance
Powering both the Norton Atlas and Atlas GT is a newly developed 650 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, producing 84 hp and 64 Nm of torque. Paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch, the engine is designed to offer strong low- and mid-range performance while remaining smooth and refined for everyday riding. The twin-cylinder configuration provides responsive acceleration for spirited road riding while maintaining the flexibility needed for touring and light off-road adventures. Norton has engineered the powertrain to deliver an engaging riding experience without compromising comfort or reliability, making it suitable for riders of varying experience levels.
Lightweight Chassis with Two Distinct Adventure Personalities
Built around a lightweight steel frame, both models share the same core architecture but are tailored for different purposes. The Atlas features 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels, longer-travel suspension and dual-purpose tyres to improve capability on gravel roads and rough terrain. In contrast, the Atlas GT adopts 19-inch front and 17-inch rear cast alloy wheels, road-focused tyres and revised suspension settings to deliver greater stability and confidence on paved roads. Both motorcycles are equipped with fully adjustable suspension, Brembo braking systems, Bosch ABS and a kerb weight of approximately 178 kg (dry), giving them an impressive power-to-weight ratio and agile handling characteristics.
