New Vespa Elettrica Revealed at EICMA 2017 Loves the Environment in 7 Different Colours
The Piaggo Group, an Italian motorcycle maker, has joined the bandwagon of manufacturers who provides a more ecological alternative for transportation. Revealed in EICMA 2017 was the electric and technological Vespa Elettrica.
With no direct carbon emissions, the electric scooter gains its power from a lightweight, lithium-ion battery, perfect for city environments. It has a range of 100 km, with a maximum 4kW of power and a KERS system for the replenishment of energy when slowing down, much similar to a Formula 1 race car.

To fully charge it, plug it in either a household plug or an outside charging point for four hours for a good 1000 cycles of 50,000 and 70, 000 km.
It has two riding modes – Eco and Power, with the former limited to only 18mph.

The new scooter’s je ne sais quoi, however, is its 4.3-inch TFT display located between the handlebars for an interactive array of options – alerts for notifications, incoming calls and messages, as well as speed, range, and charge levels. It is also operable through a sensory mode by which the rider can use voice commands when connected to a headset.
If, in the middle of your journey on the Vespa Elettrica, the batter on your phone starts depleting, you need not fear! It has a compartment with a USB socket for you to charge your phone and other mobile devices.
When you can’t find your Vespa, you can use your key as a remote control to guide you where you’ve parked it.
The Vespa Elettrica will be made available in 2018 and in seven different colours along with various additional accessories.
