The new motorcycle from Honda CBR250R for the year 2014 has been launched in Indonesia. One of the rising stars of emerging markets for Honda since its release on 2011 has received a new facelift and has now a look more similar to the CBR family instead of the VFR family making the CBR 250R very similar to its brother CBR 500R it has now a twin headlamps and a sharper windscreen, the rear fairing is redesigned too, this changes the overall look of the sport bike, making it more aggressive, the exhaust is chrome plated and now the seat is much more softer making it more comfortable. Honda has not unveiled any details, so we are still not sure if the new CBR 250R 2014 will come to Singapore, what we do know is that if it finally arrives we are going to need a Class 2A license to use it, since it's not know if it will finally arrive to Singapore, we don't know the price.

Besides the obvious aesthetic changes on the CBR 250R Honda has changed a couple of mechanical details. The CBR 250R 2014 carries a single-cylinder, 4-valve, liquid cooled, 250 cc that provides 29 PS of power at 9000 RPM and a 23 Nm of torque of 7500 RPM this is an increase of nearly 3 Ps on this sport bike Honda CBR 250R. Wheelbase has been scaled up to 1,378mm from 1,367mm, this motorcycle is now 3 kgs more thin and now has a dry weight at 164 kg. The motorcycle now provides more fuel efficiency claiming a 50.1km/l, making an ideal sport bike for using it day by day.

Another mechanical upgrades on the Honda CBR 250R are the incorporation of a Pro-Link suspension system which now gives the chance to adjust the suspension. Honda CBR 250R also bring an optional ABS, which gives us a chance to stop the motorcycle in a more safer way, especially when it's raining or on slippery road marks, ABS version of the Honda CBR 250R motorcycle is a little bit more expensive than the normal version.

With this new version of the Honda CBR 250R, the 250cc market heats up and the war between KTM Duke 200 and RC 200, Kawasaki Ninja 300 among others. A new contender has joined the 250cc war, the Yamaha YZF R25.

Although this might seem ironic, the future of the Honda CBR 250R is not very clear, since Honda has announced a new model of a sport bike, the Honda CBR300R, which goes into the line of the Kawasaki 300 and the KTM Duke 300. It's not know if this new model will reach the Asian markets like Singapore or will only stay on markets such as the US or Europe.

The new Honda CBR 250R 2014 will be available on three colors:

    Honda Three Colors

    Millennium Red

    Repsol Edition
