The 22-year-old air conditioner repairman was happily cruising down the roads of Kandivali on his motorcycle when disaster struck. Siddiqui was allegedly going to a relative’s house with his friend, Usman Khan, who was riding pillion.
Unfortunately, the biker lost control of his vehicle when a car adjacent to the bike took a sudden right turn, and then a truck came from behind and the rest was history. Siddiqui ended up coming in between the front two tires of the truck, got dragged by the monstrous truck and ended up with his skin peeled off.
On the other hand, the pillion passenger Khan fell of the motorbike and sustained head injuries. He reportedly had to get five stitches on the head.
In an interview with The Times of India, Siddiqui said: “I was riding between a car and a truck on WEH. The car suddenly turned right. I slowed down to avoid colliding into it. But the truck rammed into my motorcycle. Usman was thrown off. I landed beneath the left tire of the truck with my motorcycle.”
The lucky biker only survived by holding on to a rod under the truck.
“My back and feet were badly bruised,” Siddiqui said. “My family was not in town. I decided to rest at home and did not get hospitalized.”
Meanwhile, the truck driver was said to have been booked for rash driving under the Indian Penal Code.
