Movistar Yamaha MotoGP and RCB: A Partnership From 2018 to 2020

Posted On : 07-02-2018

The partnership between Movistar Yamaha MotoGP and Malaysian brand RCB is blossoming quite beautifully as they team up once again. RCB will be a part of the team’s Official Sponsor line-up for the 2018, 2019, and 2020 MotoGP seasons.

RCB is owned by Meng Kah Auto Parts Trading Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian registered company that is at the forefront of innovation, technology, design, and the material choices in developing RCB’s products. The RCB brand is supported by many local dealers and global distributors, well-known for its aftermarket parts and accessories.

Due to the three-year agreement between the two, the RCB logo will now be visible on Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales’ YZR-M1s at all races of the MotoGP racing season.

“After several years of successful collaboration with Yamaha, we are happy to announce this renewed sponsorship with Movistar Yamaha MotoGP for 2018, 2019 and 2020,” said CEO of RCB, Bruce Lee. “Both RCB and Yamaha have a rich history in racing. Together, we believe, both parties‘ philosophies match in terms of passion, innovation and work ethics. We are very confident this new partnership will help us achieve great things together.”

The General Manager of the Motorsports Division at YMC said of the partnership, “We are really pleased to renew our partnership with RCB. We‘ve had a strong relationship with them since our successful collaborations in 2013 and 2014 at the Asian rounds and noticed we have a lot of common ground. RCB came to exist through the founder‘s love for motorcycles. The company‘s passion and positive outlook laid the groundwork for its growth, and Yamaha shares the same vision on innovation, technology and integrity. Those three key elements can be used to build meaningful relationships and move forward. Just like Racing Boy, we value professionalism and believe in solution-orientated thinking, so I‘m certain we will have three great years together.”
