Motorcycle News Update: World Ducati Week 2014

Motorcycle fans out there are not true motorcycle fans unless they know of an event which they at least will attend once in their lifetime. In Singapore, we have the BMW Motorcycle Club. Surely, they have events and activities all year round. One recent event was last August 17, 2014 wherein there was a meet up at Gelang Patah R&R Petron Station. Motorcycle events in Singapore this coming September is set for a 3 Nation Charity Ride (Singapore – Malaysia – Thailand). Motorcycle events in Singapore are just a search away in Google. Ducati Week: Three Day Ducatisti Paradise


Those who are really big time fanatics, the World Ducati Week 2014 was the event to have gone to. The WDW event ran from July 18 to July 20 is held in Misano World Circuit Italy.There were more than 10 thousand bike enthusiasts from all over the world who joined the 3 day event. The experience was hot Ducati days and Ducati red nights. The three day event was ecstatically Desmodronic passion! It was not just for Ducati fans but for all bike enthusiasts.
The WDW three-day event kicked off with an adrenaline rush! There were circuit attractions all over the place. You could get your Ducati on the racetrack and try a few laps during the designated track session. Fans were able to get a close encounter with their favorite MotoGP riders and World Superbike riders. The most fanatic Ducatisti was even given an opportunity to know some technical details of each motorcycle on display with a special session conducted by the Factory Engineers at the Ducati University. The true Ducati fan was surely bloated with experience and information.

 

 

This kind of an event only comes once in a lifetime. Visitors were able to see the different models release early this year together with a full range of motorcycles Ducati has to offer. You just don’t see them on display but wherever you look you will see a Ducati. There was a Factory store located at the circuit filled with different Ducati apparel and products for purchase as souvenir of this one of a kind event. The event was filled with food, music and different attractions. There was never a lull moment during the three day event. The nights were unforgettable as well.
The event was even a greater treat for those who came from outside Europe. The ticket to the event is free for people coming from outside Europe. Tickets were classified as motorcyclist passes. These are delegates with bikes. There were also tickets for passenger passes. These are tickets for delegates without bikes. But for those who booked the ticket online and came from Singapore, Japan or any other country outside Europe, they give you the ticket for free.

 


Visitors get a chance to experience different events day and night. There were hot models washing Ducati Super bikes during the day and a parade of bikes. At night there were also exhibitions in the track and live music left and right. It was one of a kind party for all motorcycle enthusiasts.

The Ducati Riding Experience
It is not just an experience of having been able to ride a Ducati bike but as riding school for Ducati enthusiasts. The DRE (or Ducati Riding Experience) was established in 2003 and was designed to train entry level bike riders a fun experience with an excitement of learning to ride a Ducati. In the WDW 2014 event, they were able to give out fans a taste of what the Ducati Riding Experience is all about. The new bikes for 2014 like the 899 Panigale and Monster 1200 are the bikes used for the instruction. They offered those who were at the event a foretaste of the course they can get. DRE is also available in Asia, specifically at Zhuhai International Circuit China. Ducati fans from Singapore and from all over Asia will have a chance to get a first ride on the new Ducati 899 Panigale.
