Marc Marquez wins, for seventh time in a row, on Catalunya MotoGP

As we said last week, Marc Marquez doesn't back down from any challenges any of his rivals offer him, and as last week on Mugello we saw a good spectacle from Marc Marquez, Valentino Rossi and Dani Pedrosa on the Catalunya MotoGP. This time Marc Marquez signed a seventh victory on a row, equalizing the record Valentino Rossi had.

Dani Pedrosa signed a good qualifying, and managed to secure the pole position after Marc Marquez was involved in a crash. But as soon as lights turned green on the Catalunya MotoGP Dani Pedrosa lost its pole position with a good start from Jorge Lorenzo, but pretty soon, the again regular, Valentino Rossi managed to get into a first position and managed to stay there for a while, he was then passed by Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez who had a very tough fight by the end of the race, making Dani Pedrosa to touch slightly the rear tire of Marc Marquez and going a little wide on the curve, which, of course, Valentino Rossi took advantage and managed to secure a second position, leaving Dani Pedrosa on third position.

Unfortunately, the good race in Mugello GP from last week of Jorge Lorenzo was just that, a good race. As soon as Marquez, Pedrosa and Rossi started to push forward Jorge Lorenzo diluted and had to accept a fourth position. This is really bad news for the two time world champion Jorge Lorenzo, he currently occupies the third position and he is very close to the 100 point mark difference from Marquez and his follower Andrea Dovizioso is only 5 points away, a crash in any of the GP left would relegate him, almost for sure, to the fourth position making this season his worst season on MotoGP since he debuted back on 2008.

Good news is seeing the seven time world champion Valentino Rossi back on the podium regularly, he is doing his best season since he broke his leg on Mugello GP on 2010. He is currently on second position with 58 point difference from Marc Marquez and 5 point difference from Dani Pedrosa. This is the fourth time in a row he occupies a position, second or third, on the podium. This didn't happened since the last races of the end of the 2010 MotoGP championship. It's good to see you back Valentino!

Dani Pedrosa remains as very regular pilot, he has been on the podium five out of seven times and, despite its permanent physical problems, this time a surgery he had on its arm due to an old injury. He seems to be the only, along with Valentino, one able to fight Marc Marquez, but, as today, both have failed and Marquez remains unbeatable. Biggest question is to know what will happen with Dani Pedrosa next year.

What can we say about the world champion Marc Marquez on this Catalunya MotoGP race? He remains unchallenged, unbeatable and almost any adjective we can say to him seems small, we haven't seen this kind of dominance from a rider on MotoGP since early century when Valentino Rossi dominated pilots like Loris Capirossi, Max Biaggi or Alex Barros. But, this time is different, Marquez is facing and winning the two time world champion Jorge Lorenzo, the eternal almost champion Dani Pedrosa and the seven time world champion Valentino Rossi.
