It has been a year since the unveiling of Italian Volt’s Lacama prototype, and the company will be celebrating the anniversary with a special e-motorcycle.

The motorcycle will be dedicated to The Reunion - Monza’s Reunion motorcycle show which is known as “the most important happening for cafe racers, classic and special lovers from all over the world.”

Introducing, the “LACAMA for The Reunion”.

Adhering to the company’s motto of “custom-made”, the product was entirely made to measure according to the founder of The Reunion Matteo Andreani. Along with the designers over at Italian Volt, they carefully selected the materials and components for this very special motorcycle.

The end result is a nifty, futuristic looking bike complete with a chopped seat and cruiser-style headlight. Physically, the motorbike also features some nice blue honeycomb designs on its body and a full-colour digital dash with its own internet connection for any software updates.

According to the press release, the Lacama is a roadster that comes equipped with “advanced technology, pieces of excellence and performance comparable to those of the best two-wheels powered by gasoline, with an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 4 seconds.”

Sounds pretty neat, huh?

The motorbike is also powered by a battery that can be recharged in 40 minutes, a feat the firm attributes to the “compatibility with the fast charge columns and has an autonomy of approximately 200 km.”

Currently, the range of the machine is about 200 mixed-cycle kilometers, though Italian Volt has also stated that it is likely to increase as the motor control and battery management aspects are enhanced.

When asked about the philosophy behind this bike, founder of Italian Volt, Nicola Colombo, said: “Driving an electric motorbike is a totally innovative sensory experience comparable to the pursuit of happiness - because of the quiet, smooth driving.”

“We are confident about the great opportunity given by the electrical field linked to the two wheels, but we are also aware of the difficulty that persuasion towards this new reality means. We have created Lacama has object of desire for those who love challenges and innovation.”

Colombo also stated that the motorcycle is still in a pre-production phase.

“So, we are counting on delivering the first motorbikes to our waiting list clients by the end of this year. Our goal is to produce about 20 motorcycles per year - and 2019 production is already booked. Each model will be entirely custom-made. We want to offer the clients an unforgettable experience, starting from a jump into our atelier to live a full immersion inside the process of creating a motorcycle totally inspired by their lifestyle in order to find a “tailor-made” solution,” he continued.
