Honda's Tradition of Perfecting Smaller Bikes Continues with the Honda CL500

Honda has introduced a new motorcycle, the CL500, in its line-up for 2023. The Honda CL500 is based on the formula of the original CLs, combining off-road dynamics with a lightweight build for city riding. 

The bike is built with a strong, A2-compliant twin-cylinder engine and a sturdy, compact chassis available in vibrant Candy Orange or Blue Metallic, Matte Gunpowder Black, or rugged, earth-toned Matte Green. Designed to be customizable, allowing owners to make it their own, and it is built to handle whatever the rider throws at it, whether on dirt roads, cobbled city streets, or weekends away.

The CL500 has strong torque and instant response, thanks to its parallel twin-cylinder, DOHC 4V engine that spins a 180° crank. The street scrambler-specification intake, exhaust, and gearing give the bike strong torque through the rev range, with a peak of 43.4Nm @ 6,250rpm. 
The classic round headlight features four bright LED bulbs for a distinct light signature. At the same time, the LCD display shows the gear position indicator, fuel consumption, and individual left/right indicator arrows. 

The 41mm telescopic front forks and Showa rear shocks are preload adjustable, providing supple control. The 19-inch front wheel and 310mm floating front disc, and two-piston caliper ensure progressive stopping power with ABS optimised for dirt tracks and road.

The CL500 has an upright position, with arms and knees in a comfortable, natural posture, giving the rider all-round visibility. The flat seat provides plenty of room to move back and forward, allowing for a more aggressive attitude. 
The engine’s clutch assists with a light lever load and makes for smoother, easier gear changes up and down, and the slipper function takes care of the rear wheel locking up on multiple down changes.
