Honda has joined forces with iconic Japanese fashion brand Onitsuka Tiger for a new collaboration designed to bring the worlds of motorcycles, fashion and Japanese creativity together. The partnership made its public debut on September 23, 2026, when the Onitsuka Tiger Honda Mid Sports Concept received its world premiere at the Onitsuka Tiger show during Milan Fashion Week 2027 Women’s Collection Spring/Summer in Milan, Italy. The concept motorcycle serves as the first major symbol of the collaboration, combining a mid-displacement Honda sports platform with Onitsuka Tiger's instantly recognisable visual identity. Alongside the motorcycle, Onitsuka Tiger presented motorcycle-inspired clothing and footwear featuring Honda's famous Wing Mark, turning the project into a broader celebration of two Japanese brands with more than 75 years of history.

Two Japanese Icons Bring More Than 75 Years of Heritage Together

The partnership has a natural historical connection, with Honda founded in 1948 and Onitsuka Tiger established in Kobe in 1949, meaning the two companies emerged in Japan just one year apart. Honda grew around founder Soichiro Honda's ambition to serve people through original technologies, ultimately becoming one of the world's major mobility manufacturers, while Onitsuka Tiger developed from a sports-shoe manufacturer into an internationally recognised fashion brand. Despite operating in very different industries, Honda says the companies share an emphasis on advanced technology, manufacturing excellence, creativity and a willingness to take on new challenges. Those similarities became the foundation for the collaboration, with the two brands looking beyond their conventional markets to explore how motorcycle engineering and fashion design can create a different way for people to experience motorcycle culture.

Tiger Yellow Transforms Honda’s Mid Sports Concept

The Onitsuka Tiger Honda Mid Sports Concept is based on a mid-displacement sports model, although Honda's announcement does not identify the underlying production motorcycle or provide engine displacement, horsepower or torque figures. Instead, the concept's focus is its distinctive design treatment. Tiger Yellow, Onitsuka Tiger's signature colour, dominates the bodywork and is contrasted by large, angular black stripes running across both sides of the motorcycle. Predominantly black wheels receive additional Tiger Yellow accents, while Honda and Onitsuka Tiger branding appears throughout the machine. Even smaller visual elements were deliberately considered to create a cohesive design rather than simply applying fashion-brand graphics to an existing motorcycle, resulting in a sharp sportsbike that visually connects Honda's performance heritage with Onitsuka Tiger's bold fashion identity.

Milan Fashion Week Brings Honda’s Wing Mark Into Fashion

The collaboration extends considerably further than the concept motorcycle itself. During Milan Fashion Week, Onitsuka Tiger unveiled footwear and apparel incorporating Honda's Wing Mark, with the collection drawing direct inspiration from motorcycle culture. Displaying the Mid Sports Concept alongside those pieces allowed the companies to connect the craftsmanship of motorcycle manufacturing with the attention to materials, details and visual identity associated with fashion design. It also gave Honda an unusual platform outside the traditional motorcycle-show environment, presenting a sports motorcycle to an audience focused on style and culture rather than purely performance specifications. In that sense, the project is not simply about creating a specially painted Honda; it is an attempt to show how motorcycles can influence fashion while fashion can introduce motorcycle culture to entirely new audiences.

Honda and Onitsuka Tiger Open a New Door Into Motorcycle Culture

Honda says the broader purpose of the partnership is to make motorcycle culture feel closer and more accessible to customers around the world, using the synergy between two familiar Japanese brands without being constrained by traditional industry boundaries. For now, Honda describes the yellow machine specifically as a concept model, and the announcement does not confirm production plans, pricing, availability or technical specifications, so it remains a design showcase rather than an announced showroom motorcycle. Even so, its Milan debut provides a clear statement of what the collaboration is trying to achieve: blending Honda's mobility and motorcycle heritage with Onitsuka Tiger's contemporary fashion identity. With its unmistakable Tiger Yellow bodywork, aggressive black graphics and dual-brand detailing, the Onitsuka Tiger Honda Mid Sports Concept demonstrates how a motorcycle can become more than a performance machine—it can also serve as a bridge between engineering, fashion and culture.
