Harley-Davidson’s New Tradmark Breeds New ‘Revelation’ of Apocalyptic Proportions
Harley Davidson has had a new ‘Revelation’ to add to its ambitious goal for 2018 alongside their plan of releasing 100 motorcycles over the next ten years to combat their financial woes.

Revelation is a new trademark registered by the Milwaukee-based brand for two uses: (1) batteries for vehicles, and (2) drivetrains for electric motorcycles. The new name doesn’t sound too far off from the existing Harley models like Evolution and Revolution X.

There was a lot of speculation that Revelation could be the moniker for Harley’s production version of the Livewire electronic concept but the folks at Asphalt and Rubber do not seem to agree. As they have suggested, the trademark of Revelation is not the right type of category for it to be the name of a motorcycle, which is why it will probably be used for the bike’s technology.
In the Christian faith, the Book of Revelation tells the story of how the world will end. Similarly, this new trademark might be an apocalyptic prophecy of an era ending and a new beginning for Harley-Davidson to be the first major manufacturer to release a production electric motorcycle.
