Get your Motor-skis ready for the 2018 AMA National Championship Snow Bike Series This Winter Season

For almost a hundred years, the AMA Championship Snow Bike Series was the first race, in the history of the AMA, to run without any kind of wheels, replacing knobby tires for a ski in front for steering and a high-performance snowmobile-style track in the rear for traction.

And in 2018, the AMA Championship Snow Bike Series will officially be an AMA National Championship series complete with an AMA award - National No. 1 plates for the top finishers of each national class. Additionally, there will be a National Championship for men and women’s pro classes and a Senior class for riders 40 years old and above. Meanwhile, amateur classes will also be offered for women, children, and bikes up to 350cc. There will also be a new unlimited trophy class for testing and R&D work by teams and manufacturers that allows turbos and NOS to be utilized.

Ron Dillon, R&R Promotions Owner, said that they were proud to be working with the AMA again, announcing as well the new race venues they had in mind for 2018 including Derby in Eagle River, Wisconsin, and the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Lake Tahoe, Nevada.
