First Kenyan Couple to Tour World by Motorbike
Meet Wamuyu and Dos, a Kenyan couple dedicated to personally experiencing the world and sharing the story of their beloved country with everyone else.
With the mission to be the first Kenyans to tour the world on motorbikes and deliver the story of Kenya to the rest of the world, they will be quitting their jobs, selling their belongings and bidding farewell to their loved ones (except each other) for 3 years.

Their Story:
Wamuyu and Dos were two strangers at first with a common interest - travelling on motorcycles. They met at a biker’s event and have been riding together ever since.
As cheesy as it sounds, they “rode into each other’s hearts and that is the best place the bikes have taken [them].” Having established a beautiful connection, they later discovered that they both shared the same dream; the dream of “exploring the world beyond the Kenyan borders, beyond prejudices and beyond the usual comfort zone.”
This will not be an easy task, but the couple, who had been planning for the world tour since the end of 2016, is more than prepared for it.
In 2015, Dos hopped aboard his 180cc motorbike and rode from Kenya to South Africa and back. While doing so, he also managed to snag the Kenyan record for the smallest bike to do an adventure trip to Africa. At the same time, Dos also got hit with the travelling bug, and he knew he had to go touring on his motorcycle again.

Later on, in July 2017, Wamuyu took a similar but shorter adventure. For 10 days, she covered 3,100 kilometers and managed to beat the record of a Kenyan solo female long-distance rider.
Their individual trips have given Wamuyu and Dos the confirmation they need - that they have found themselves dedicated to the cause of travelling the world via motorbikes, and that their various experiences will be invaluable to them along the way.
“We want to explore the world with our own eyes, make our own experiences and enjoy foreign countries, cultures and traditions. We also want to tell the story of our beloved country Kenya to the world. We want people to hear the story of Kenya from Kenyans,” they stated.
The couple is determined to “be the first Kenyans to tour the world on motorbikes and deliver the story of Kenya to the world.”
Their adventure will start on 2nd July this year, and they will be covering all seven continents and 50 countries.
