Ducati’s Race of Champions Will See Top Riders Like Bayliss, Dovizioso and Lorenzo Pitted Against Each Other

Ducati will be organizing a Race of Champions as part of the celebrations for the 10th World Ducati Week. Slated to run from 20th to 22nd July, the race will take place on the historic Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.

The event will be similar to an actual race, starting from practice to qualifying, and finally to the podium. All racers are also reported to be riding on specially-prepared, limited-edition Ducati Panigale V4 S bikes.

According to Bike Sport News, aerobatics of Italy’s Tricolour Arrows will fly over the starting grid before the race, adding on to the anticipation of the event.

The Race of Champions itself will see twelve renowned riders - Ducati’s flag bearers through the years - compete in the challenge. From the likes of MotoGP and Superbike Riders such as Andrea Dovizioso, Jorge Lorenzo, Danilo Petrucci, Jack Miller, Chaz Davies and Marco Melandri to first-rate riders like Troy Bayliss who propelled Ducati forward in the motorcycle industry, the race will surely be extremely exciting for fans of motorbike racing.

There will also be a possibility for a limited number of visitors of the World Ducati Week to experience the excitement of the starting grid.
