Dakar 2015 Stage 12 - Coming to an end soon
Dakar 2015 Stage 12, last second stage of the rally race. Stage 13 will be the final stage which will determine the winner and it will be held at South America. With all the amazing performances by all the competitor, Honda and KTM are now on par with the winnings. Both Honda and KTM have six wins each. It was Honda's Joan Barreda taking the lead until luck struck him down with some technical issues. This, then let KTM's Marc Coma to take the advantage play and lead the overall standings from stage 8 onwards. With the four-time Dakar Rally winner at the top of the overall standings, he continues to extend his lead little by little each day, creating a huge gap between the 2nd placing and him. He definitely did well, making full use of what he got.
Coma finished in the sixth placing this time round. However, he has got his plan going on in his head. Coma was preserving his tires for the final stage, Stage 13. Therefore, sacrificing some time is needed. In addition, Coma is now in the first place, leading the overall standings with a gap of 17 minutes and 49 seconds over 2nd placing, Honda's Paolo Goncalves. He is definitely on the right track to secure his fifth Dakar title.
