Based in the South Coast near Portsmouth, the Tigers Children’s Motorcycle display team aims to include everyone in making Tigers fun and challenging for all their member families. As the members of the team are extremely young, the safety of the children is also their utmost priority - although they have stated that this does not limit them in delivering exciting shows.

In an interview with their local news team The Portsmouth News, marketing officer Stephanie Stares said: “The Tigers Children’s Motorcycle Display Team is a parent run club which was established in 1980 with the view to provide children the opportunity to learn to ride motorbikes safely, as well as teaching them to ride as part of a team, performing intricate formation riding routines, stunts, and ramp jumps.
Thirty-eight years later the club is still going strong and continues to run on the same values that were originally set out all those years ago.”

The Tigers Children’s Motorcycle Display Team also makes sure to donate a share of their show earnings to charity. Over the years, the team has donated thousands to child related good causes.
They are extremely successful in the fundraising aspect due to the niche of little kids on motorbikes, having performed in many shows over the past 38 years ranging from local carnivals, to the Queens Diamond Jubilee Family Festival in Hyde Park London 2012.
“Over the past five years we have donated £9,500 (approximately $17,238 SGD) to children related good causes and charities,” said Stephanie.

This year, the Tigers were presented with their Show Helmets by the Royal Navy Royal Marines Road Race Team as part of a graduation ceremony before their kick off their season of displays showing off the stunts and routines they have learnt.
They will be supporting two local children’s charities - Wave 105’s Cash for Kids and Sophie’s Appeal - through their upcoming performances.
