The motorcycle was allegedly stolen back in April, and the owner of the blue and black 1996 Honda motorcycle then reported the case to the police.

Days later, the rightful owner of the vehicle called the police again, claiming that his stolen bike was spotted in a backyard.

When the police officers arrived, they caught 29-year old Michael Murphy “in the process of spray painting a Honda motorcycle.”

After doing a record check of the Honda’s identification number, they confirmed that it was indeed the stolen bike.

According to the police department, Murphy was arrested on the charges of theft and vehicle theft, on the 5800 block of Rowan Street. Another man, who was in the backyard at that time, was not charged as he was not involved in the spray painting.
