Brudeli Tech Sold Patents To Yamaha for 2019 Trike

By now, all of us have probably already heard of the Yamaha Niken, the three-wheeled wonder that is being expected to revolutionize the three-wheeler-slash-scooter industry. After being released at the Tokyo Motor Show, it gained an overwhelming amount of appreciation and excitement, the former most apparent now.

It seems like the Yamaha Niken is coming into its fruition in no time.

Brudeli Tech Holding AS sold multiple patents to Yamaha, particularly its ‘Leanster’ vehicles Brudeli 654L and 625L. Even before the Japanese motorcycle and powersport manufacturer decided to venture into the three-wheeler business, there was already the Norwegians’ concept vehicle in 2005 even before the Piaggio MP3 in 2006.

“I see this as an incredible honour that Yamaha have decided to acquire this technology that we started to develop here in Norway,” said Geir Brudeli inventor and owner of Brudeli Tech Holding AS. “Knowing the competence, knowledge and passion of Yamaha, it will be exciting to see their future products.”

The market for leaning vehicles with two front wheels is growing steadily with more and more motorcycle and scooter manufacturers attempting a feat.

Brudeli Tech is a company that prioritizes innovation and the development of new technology. Their contribution to the automotive and motorcycle industry “will be to optimize the functional performance and mechanical design”, something that we can expect with Yamaha.
