Bringing you a brief history of ADIVA and the URBAN COMMUNTER ADIVA concept

Posted On : 17-11-2017

ADIVA Corporation sells and markets two and three wheelers, as well as various accessories and spare parts around the world. Headquartered in Japan, the company has established networks worldwide in countries such as Spain, France, and Singapore. Motohide Ikeda is currently the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer.

The first Adiva concept scooter was unveiled to the masses way back in 1994, while an international patent for the foldable roof innovation was given the green light in 2004. The first Adiva product to be produced was launched in the EICMA motorcycle show in 2000, under an Original Equipment Manufacturing (OEM) agreement with Italian motorcycle manufacturer Benelli.

In 2002, Adiva embarked on a new project to develop a second generation of scooters, and simultaneously, the company entered the market with Adiva own brand. The company leveraged capital and experience amassed with the collaboration from Renault and Benelli. After cementing their presence in local markets, they worked towards expanding the company to global markets.

The idea of the Urban Commuter Adiva is to manufacture a vehicle which is simple to ride, just like a scooter, while travelling in comfort, just like a car. Undoubtedly, it is also vital to safeguard the rider against the elements of the weather for a safe ride.

As cities grow and world’s population become increasingly urbanized, a convenient means of transportation is more highly sought after by the masses. The three-wheeled scooter, AD3, ensures increased levels of safety when riding in cities. The AD3 also promises excellent stability regardless of the weather conditions. The deflectors can be joined or removed, and the roof of the scooter can open or close – all up to your personal preference. An excellent chassis, along with two front wheels implies that riders can manoeuvre corners more accurately and swiftly.

The AD3 is available in two versions – the 299cc AD3 300, or the 171.2cc AD3 200. Both are powered by a water-cooled, single-cylinder 4-stroke engine.
