BMW M and BMW Motorrad are marking the 100th anniversary of the Nürburgring in 2027 with a special “100 Jahre Nürburgring” collection comprising nine high-performance machines, including three motorcycles aimed squarely at enthusiasts and collectors. The motorcycle line-up consists of the BMW M 1000 RR, M 1000 R and M 1000 XR, and exclusivity is guaranteed with just 100 examples of each model available worldwide. All three receive a historical Nürburgring Green finish, anniversary graphics and a collection of model-specific details inspired by the legendary German circuit. The celebration has particularly deep meaning for BMW Motorrad: its relationship with the Nürburgring stretches all the way back to 1927, when BMW achieved its first victory there, while the demanding Nordschleife continues to serve as a development environment for chassis, powertrain, aerodynamics, brakes and thermal management.

Three BMW M Motorcycles Bring Different Flavours of Extreme Performance
Rather than creating a single anniversary motorcycle, BMW Motorrad has selected its complete M performance trio. The M 1000 RR represents the uncompromising supersport side of the collection, concentrating on racetrack performance, aerodynamic precision, lightweight construction and the pursuit of faster lap times. The M 1000 R takes superbike-level performance into a hyper-naked format, combining outright power with agility and direct rider feedback for both road and circuit use. Completing the trio is the M 1000 XR, a high-performance crossover designed to blend serious pace and high-speed stability with more accommodating long-distance ergonomics and versatility. All three come standard with the M Track Package, reinforcing the motorsport character behind BMW's anniversary theme, “Born on the Racetrack. Made for the Streets.”
Nürburgring Green and Carbon Wheels Make Every Bike Instantly Recognisable
The anniversary treatment goes far beyond simply applying a commemorative badge. Each motorcycle receives exclusive Nürburgring Green paint, together with “100 Jahre Nürburgring” graphics and a painted fuel tank carrying the distinctive silhouette of the Nordschleife. BMW also equips the machines with carbon wheels featuring Nürburgring Green accent stripes, while the rear swingarm and rear frame are finished in black to reinforce the aggressive appearance. The seat uses an Alcantara-look finish embroidered with “100”, and the airbox cover carries its own anniversary design together with an individual “one of 100” marking. A Certificate of Authenticity further documents the limited-edition status of each motorcycle, making these machines as significant to collectors as they are to riders.

BMW Adds Exclusive Track Equipment to the 100 Jahre Nürburgring Package
BMW Motorrad has complemented the distinctive styling with additional equipment that strengthens the connection to the racetrack. An M Cover Kit is included for the M 1000 RR and M 1000 R, while the anniversary package also provides an exclusive M motorcycle mat carrying the 100 Jahre Nürburgring logo and a rear-wheel paddock stand complete with swingarm mounts. Combined with the standard M Track Package, visible carbon components, black chassis elements and individually numbered anniversary details, the result is more than a cosmetic special edition. BMW has deliberately created a cohesive package around the character of the Nordschleife, a 20.8-kilometre circuit with 73 corners, major elevation changes and constantly varying track characteristics that the company describes as one of the world's most demanding racetracks.
Only 100 of Each Bike Will Carry a Century of Green Hell History
The BMW M 1000 RR, M 1000 R and M 1000 XR 100 Jahre Nürburgring editions bring together three very different types of high-performance motorcycle under one exceptionally significant anniversary. With only 100 units of each model worldwide, Nürburgring Green bodywork, carbon wheels, Nordschleife graphics, Alcantara-look seats, “one of 100” identification and dedicated track-inspired accessories, their rarity is every bit as important as their performance pedigree. BMW has not yet announced ordering and availability details for the Motorrad editions, saying those will follow separately. What is already clear is their purpose: these motorcycles celebrate a relationship between BMW and the Nürburgring that began in 1927 and continues through modern vehicle development today, turning a century of “Green Hell” history into 300 highly exclusive BMW M motorcycles.
