On June 12th, the California based company unveiled their latest graphics for the new line, which features updates on Bell’s iconic culture helmets - the Bullitt and the Moto3. They will be getting a new Boost Matte Black and Chemical Candy flames graphic respectively.

The moto helmets will also be receiving an upgrade, with new designs made available for the Moto-9 FLEX, Moto-9 MIPS and MX-9 MIPS, all of which will be equipped with Bell’s advanced, state of the art protective MIPS or FLEX technologies.

For the street helmets, Bell rounds up this line of designs with updates to the SRT and industry-leading Star MIPS, which is said to be “designed as a replica to the helmet worn by Brad Binder on the Moto2 circuit (see top image).”

“While our focus is always grounded in protection and performance, we never lose sight of the importance of aesthetics and developing dynamic looking helmets that command attention from riders and for riders,” said Brett Conley, Brand Marketing Manager of Bell Helmets. “We’re incredibly fortunate to have incredible partners like Chemical Candy and Brad Binder that reach directly to the core of our industry, both on and off the track. The power of these partnerships is reflected in the quality and creativity of these new designs.”

Since 1954, Bell Helmets has been offering helmets with incredible safety technology, and this new seasonal line will be no different. The new graphics will mainly be featured on the helmets that already come equipped with Bell’s exclusive FLEX and MIPS technologies.

According to the press release, FLEX features a “progressive layering technology” which comprises of three different materials each specifically designed to protect against different impact velocities. This creates an “unparalleled energy management system that protects against low, mid and high-speed impacts.”

On the other hand, MIPS - which stands for Multi-Directional Impact Protection System, is a technology designed to “manage energy from rotational and angular impacts, uses a slip-plane system that moves inside the helmet, mimicking the brain’s own protection system.” This means that in cases of an accident, damage to the brain will be reduced as the system will allow the head to slide independent of the helmet.

Good to know Bell takes the safety aspect of a motorcycle helmet very seriously.
