Are You Ready To Race, Young Padawan? KTM UK Launches Youth Motocross Team

You are never too young or too old to do what you love in life. In fact, the younger you start your craft, the better. You get to hone your skills and build muscle memory at the peak age of remembering what you are taught. Plus, you have more energy to train. So if you are truly serious about being a professional racer, and you live in the UK, you should consider joining KTM UK’s official motocross youth team.

It aims to provide young riders with opportunities and support to progress to the highest possible level. They are recruiting all riders aged 21 and above with good national podium finishes.

Through a shared vision between the British Youth Nationals (BYN) and Judd Racing, youth MX parts specialist, the dedicated team was born. And with a three-year term minimum for the collaboration of Judd Racing and KTM UK, the two parties will help young riders to improve and reach their highest potential.

 “This kind of impetus is what Judd Racing feels the sport needs to push it forwards and help riders evolve and compete on an International level,” said Managing Director of Judd Racing, Michelle Arnold. “We’re very excited for the future.” 

Operating under the official title, ‘JUDD ORANGE BRIGADE – The Official KTM UK Factory MX Youth Team, they will cater to riders in the various ranges of disciplines among the youth category such as 50cc, 65cc, 85cc small wheel, 85cc big wheel, 125cc, and even up to 250cc.At a subsidized cost, those who manage to make it into the team will have the opportunity to race at BYN, KTM UK, and Judd Racing events. The package also includes a race machine for a subsidized cost, a spares budget, and a full gear of KTM PowerWear. At championships that do not coincide with the Judd British Youth National Championship, they are allowed to wear their team colours.

Simon Roots, KTM UK Marketing, Events & Motorsport Manager, said that they are not only dedicated to motocross and creating race-winning products but also aspires to “create a dedicated programme to help young British riders reach the very peak of the sport.
