On the 22nd of May the Finnish racing driver posted a short teaser video on his Twitter account (@ValtteriBottas) showing off the new bike the Italian manufacturer MV Agusta had specially customized for him.

The motorbike is embellished with his initials VB and racing number 77 painted along its flanks in a beautiful deep blue.

Taking the two-wheeler on a spin in Monaco, Bottas then also stated that he loved the bike on his social media on the 29th of May. The tweet has since received more than 100 retweets and over 1000 likes on the social media platform.

His fans also showed great approval for the special bike, stating that the “sexy bike” looked both “awesome” and “dope”. Some also expressed their compliments for the choice of colour, as they think that the cool blue colour “perfectly matches [his] style of calm and composed aggression”.

Meanwhile, others have also expressed their concert at his lack of proper riding gear, although one netizen also pointed out that he at least wore a helmet when riding as compared to his fellow car racer Lewis Hamilton.

It was only just last week that British racer Lewis Hamilton announced his collaboration with MV Agusta to produce a new limited edition motorcycle as well. Dubbed the MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR LH44, the bike also does not lose out in terms of design, with Hamilton going for a fiery red instead of the cool blue that Bottas chose.

Seems like the Italy based motorcycle manufacturer MV Agusta has a penchant for the race car drivers of Mercedes-Benz.

We will be looking forward to more F1 drivers and motorcycle crossovers, and whatever unique two-wheeled machines that come out of it.
