5 Million Worth of Contingency Plans by American Honda for the New Year
On Jan. 3, 2018, American Honda announced that they will be providing funds for Honda racers as part of their Red Riders Rewards program. Of course, it still depends on their results whether it is in supported amateur or professional racing series. The current total package is at $5,395,160 and will surely increase in the months to come as more racing promoters and organizers reveal their 2018 schedules.

With the aim to pay “deep enough to add support where it’s needed most”, they have expanded to over 1500 events nationwide, including 15 new series. “Because Honda riders race such a wide variety of disciplines,” the announcement read, “the Red Rider Rewards Program pays deep enough to add support where it’s needed most.” Brandon Wilson, American Honda Motorcycle Sports Assistant Manager, told the folks at Motorcycle, “Given the success of Honda CRF, CBR, and Montesa Cota models on salesroom floors and in media shootouts, we’re excited to increase our contingency offerings for Red Riders in 2018.”
