The Ducati Desmo250 MX is Ducati’s upcoming lightweight motocross machine developed for MX2 competition and off-road racing. Built as part of Ducati’s expanding off-road lineup, the Desmo250 MX follows the brand’s successful Desmo450 MX project and continues Ducati’s use of Desmodromic valve technology in motocross racing. The bike features a lightweight aluminium perimeter frame, aggressive motocross ergonomics, long-travel suspension, and a high-performance single-cylinder engine designed for strong high-rpm performance and responsive handling on demanding off-road tracks. Developed together with Alessandro Lupino for the Italian MX2 Championship, the Desmo250 MX represents Ducati’s next step into competitive motocross and is expected to enter production in selected markets in 2026.
