Tribute to Late Nicky Hayden: Arai Helmet’s Corsair-X in ‘Nicky-7’

Hayden strictly used Arai helmets only ever since he started amateur racer and until his unfortunate crash, he still swore by them.

Therefore, it is no wonder why the Japanese helmet manufacturing company is releasing a special model that represents ‘The Kentucky Kid’.

Minus the Red Bull logos, the ‘Nikcy-7’ graphic is applied to the high quality Corsair-X and is based on the Starline design that Hayden used in the first five rouonds of the 2017 Superbike World Championship. His brother, Tommy Hayden said, “Nicky definitely took a lot of pride in his relationship with Arai and personally put a lot of input and time into the designs. His helmet was very important to him. As a family, we felt it was right to continue with Nicky’s replicas to keep his legacy alive, especially for his many fans.”

And a legacy continued it shall be as the new full-face motorcycle helmet is now the foundation for Arai’s upcoming DOT/Snell-approved head protection.
The Arai Consair-X Nicky07 helmet will be made available in XS-XXL sizes. The current retail price is at US$979.95 (SG$1300.75), including a clear Pinlock anti-fog shield insert. Maverick Viñales, Mick Doohan, and Shinya Nakano are also included the replica models.
