Traffic Police Officer Thrown Off Motorbike in Road Accident Along the PIE

On May 4th, Friday, a 27-year old Traffic Police was involved in a road accident while riding his motorcycle. The accident occurred at around 3.40 in the afternoon near Adam Road exit heading towards Changi Airport.

He was travelling along the Pan-Island-Expressway (PIE) when his motorcycle suddenly started leaning towards the left, causing the officer to be thrown off the vehicle.

The impact caused several pieces of metal to be dislodged from the motorbike, and the scene could be seen to be strewn with debris. Luckily, the Traffic Police officer only suffered minor injuries, as his gloves and rider jacket also helped to reduce body abrasions.

According to the police, the “27-year old male TP officer was conscious when taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.”

Some motorists could also be seen rushing to the injured man’s aid.

Investigations are reported to still be ongoing.
