The Four Hearts and Four Characteristics of the New SWM twin-cylinder range
SWM and Shineray is coming out with a whole new range of twin-cylinder engines and they are asking, “Which one do you belong to?

So you know about Italian marques such as Benelli and Aprilia, MV Agusta and Ducati. But you probably have not even heard of SWM, at least not that much as of late.
SWM is actually ‘SV.VM’ - Sironi Vergani Vimercate Milano - the initials of its two founders and headquarters. Piero Sironi and Fausto Vergani founded the company in Milan, Italy in 1971 with endure, motocross, and off-road motorcycles before they went into liquidation almost a decade later in 1984. And although there are still some who ride SWMs like the classic and twinshock bikes in the U.K., most of their models have stopped production and are no longer available.
However, in 2014, engineer Ameplio Macchi, drove the resurgence of the SWM brand with six new models displayed at EICMA 2014. China’s leading motorcycle manufacturer, Shineray Group, funded SWM and made possible their Milan debut.

SWM currently uses second-hand Husqvarna and Shineray single-cylinder engines but it is soon to be no more.
At the 20th anniversary of Shineray, they announced that they were in the process of building a whole range of twin-cylinder machines from 350cc to 1200cc, the latter being promised as “the ultimate experience”.

Will we be seeing a new superbike or super-naked soon?
