Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport and Its Art of the Ride Exhibit Features Paul Yaffe of Bagger Nation

Back in the day, airports were simply a pit-stop for those leaving and returning a place as well as a holding site for powered flying vehicles with wings. But they have evolved along with the rest of humanity. Just take a look at the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport that now has a museum. It’s now become more of a tourist spot than a means to an end.

The reason why the Phoenix Airport Museum caught our eye is because a renowned custom motorcycle builder is being featured as part of their motorcycle-themed exhibit called Art of the Ride.

Who is it, you ask? It’s none other than Paul Yaffe whose builds, The Copper Chopper and Prodigy, will be taking center stage. Prodigy won three consecutive Roadster Shows in Oakland, California, and was so impressive that Hot Wheels made a toy after it.

Meanwhile, The Copper Chopper took eight months to construct, the final product completed in 2010. It was also previously featured in the State of Arizona’s official centennial celebration after the Arizona Centennial Foundation pronounced it more worthy of representing Arizona’s history than any other mascot, person, or event.

Ever so humble, he mentioned that he never would have thought that his tinkering with motorcycles would lead to the recognition he’s receiving now.

“I’ve just followed my passion for bikes,” he said, “and this is where it’s led me. I’m grateful to be featured in this great show.”

Art of the Ride is dedicated to the passion and attitude that is in the heart of the motorcycle culture. It runs from October 18, 2017, to May 28, 2018, which gives Bagger Nation fans plenty of time to visit the exhibit. The Phoenix Airport Museum is located in Terminal 4, Level 3 Gallery in the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
