Mid-Atlantic Women’s Motorcycle Rally Features Storytelling Events and Fundraising for Victims with Breast Cancer
“I have attended MAWMR every year since 1999 without fail. This ever-evolving group of amazing women come together year in and year out to support each other and raise money for cancer support. I have seen firsthand what their efforts are capable of providing for cancer patients. Several members of my WOW chapter have benefited from HOPE, including my own mother, who introduced me to MAWMR all those years ago. No matter what happens in my life, this is an event that I will never miss and a group of women that I will forever call my friends and family,” a participant of the event, Audrey, said.

She’s not the only one; countless women have decided to participate in this event and countless times, they only left with glowing reviews and a fulfilled heart.
But what exactly is the Mid-Atlantic Women’s Motorcycle Rally?

The MAWMR was created by Nancy Warren to establish a community for women who ride where they can share their stories. The rally also raises funds to support the needs of women with breast cancer.
Held every June, it aims to bring together women motorcyclists and enthusiasts for a three-day rally full of friendship, games, educational seminars, rides, contests and, of course, fundraising.
It promises to be an exciting and jam-packed event, with activities such as scavenger hunts, biker bingo, bike light shows, workshops, the MAWMR party (this year it will be of a Medieval/Renaissance theme!) and many more.

The MAWMR is affiliated with ‘Help for Oncology Problems & Emotional Support’ (H.O.P.E) which was founded in 1994 to help cancer patients and their families.
In addition, MAWMR also supports the cause of ‘Pink Out Women’s Cancer Fund’, which was established in 2007 to provide financial assistance to women cancer patients.

This year, the event will take place from 21st to 23rd June in Front Royal, Virginia. And this year, there will be a very special guest speaker - Maggie McNally-Bradshaw, chair of the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) and the first female to hold this position.
"I am looking forward to sharing my story about the impact that motorcycling has had on my life. And I hope that through this event and others like it, more women are encouraged to take up motorcycling and bring others into the lifestyle we all share and love." McNally-Bradshaw said.
She will be participating in a storytelling event at the rally to discuss how motorcycling has helped many women during life-changing events.
