After the launch of the C600 Sport and C650 GT, BMW has decided to round up the lineup with the introduction of a more affordable option in the C400X.

This middleweight scooter sports a steel chassis and is powered by a 350cc single-cylinder engine, which is connected to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) gearbox. The engine is claimed to produce 34hp @ 7,500rpm and 25.8ft-lbs of torque @ 6,000rpm, and power is transmitted via the aforementioned gearbox, as well as a swingarm which reduces vibration levels.

Suspension is done by a telescopic fork at the front and dual-forks at the back. Braking is provided by twin ABS discs in the front, along with a single disc brake at the rear. Furthermore, Automatic Stability Control is a safety feature which ensures the safety of the rider during acceleration, even during inclement weather.

Be ready to ride in comfort too. Apart from standard LED lights, a full-colour TFT display is available with BMW’s Multi-Controller. With smartphone integration, this feature enhances the bike’s connectivity and enables the rider to use various functions on your phone such as the GPS, music, and the like on your journey. Storage wise, there are two separate compartments, as well as BMW’s Flexcase under the seat.

Prices and potential availability in Singapore are currently unreleased. What we do know that the BMW C400X is available in two different paint finishes – Alpine White, or Metallic Zenith blue. Take your pick.
