Stress-Free Touring With The New BMW Active Cruise Control ACC For Their Motorcycles

Posted On : 01-07-2020

Those who go for long trip rides will know the super-duper useful function of cruise control. Be it a motorcycle or a car, this function is extremely convenient, especially going up North-south highway or touring to Thailand.

BMW Motorrad will soon be introducing a new improve feature for their new sport-tourer BMW Motorcycles
The new Active Cruise Control (ACC) introduced by BMW Motorrad for their cruise control sport-tourers, will have a speed sensor detection function that is able to adjust the motorcycle speed to the vehicle in front automatically.

Let's say you set a standard speed of 140km/hr using the ACC, and the bike is approaching a slower vehicle in front. The ACC system will auto reduce the speed and maintain a safe distance from the front vehicle.
And if you decide to overtake the slower vehicle in front of you, all you need is to overtake as usual. The ACC system once detected your intension to pass; it will increase acceleration and at the same time, activate the signal indicator until you resume to the intended set cruise control speed.
This add on features would be a plus point when going for a relaxing touring!
