Six Bikes You Won't Want To Miss Getting Your Hands on This Christmas!

Posted On : 13-12-2017

EICMA 2017 had a lot of great bikes from concepts like the Indian FTR1200 tracker, Honda CB4 Interceptor, and the Moto Guzzi V85 to these six production bikes that will be hitting showrooms pretty soon.

Get your wallets ready because you might just get a momentary lapse in judgement and buy all of them!

  1. Honda CB1000R

The 2018 CB1000R is both modern and minimalist, a mix of sports naked and café racer inspirations that is bound to turn some heads. Shaving off more than 25lbs of this big retro, they also updated the engine, with a variation of the CBR1000RR Fireblade lump. It has 143.5 horsepower at 10,500 rpm and y6.7lbs of torque at 8,250 rpm.

  1. Husqvarna Svartpilen 401

This Svartpilen 401 was reduced to “the bare functional essentials”, making it the “real deal”. It is slated to go on sale early next year and has 44 hp, 37 Nm of torque, a 6-speed gearbox, and 17-inch spoked wheels shod with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tires. Also available in the kit are LED lighting, motocross-style bards, and Bosch ABS.

  1. Husqvarna Vitpilen 701

This bad boy is the café racer twin to the urban scrambler Svartpilen. Although it is powered by the same engine as the KTM 690 Duke, it will also be made available as the 401 model with the smaller 390 Duker motor. Weighing around 33lbs lighter than the Scrambler Ducati Racer and has better figures – 72 Nm torque at 6750 rpm and 75 horsepower along with Brembo brakes, Bosch 9M+ two-channel ABS, a slipper clutch, and a fully adjustable suspension by WP with 43 mm USD forks.

  1. Kawasaki Z900RS Cafe

The Z900RS pays tribute to the original pioneer of Kawasaki’s line of Zeds, the Z900 Streetfighter who share the same inline-four engine and steel-trellis frame with a maximum power output of 111 hp. It also looks healthy in green complete with a bikini fairing, a humped seat, and drop-style bars which allows for a more aggressive-looking riding position.

  1. Royal Enfield Interceptor 650

The Interceptor has a brand new engine, a UK-developed 650 cc parallel twin with a 270-degree crank and an output of 47 hp and 52 Nm. It is available in 4 different colours: Orange Crush (as shown in the picture), Ravishing Red, Silver Spectre, and Chrome. It has a 4 stroke, single overhead cam, air-oil cooled, 648 cc parallel twin engine with a 47 bhp at 7,100 rpm and 52 Nm at 4,000 rpm.

  1. Scrambler Ducati 1100

It looks like a returned version of the 1079CC Monster 1100 L-twin engine with much-improved specs. Aside from offering three riding modes, traction control, and cornering ABS, you can also choose from three models with different handlebars, seats and colors. There’s less plastic involved and more aluminium to keep the weight down to 206kgs
