This incident happened during the Moto3 French Grand Prix at Le Mans. The biker was already on his final lap of the race when his competitor, Italian racer Enea Bastianini, appeared to have lost control of his motorcycle and crashed.

Luckily, Bastianini survived the crash, but unluckily for his bike, it flew directly into Jakub Kornfeil’s path. Kornfeil took it in his stride, though, very cooly managing to jump over the crashed vehicle and finishing his race.

“The first thing I was thinking of was to open the gas and stand up on the pegs,” said Kornfeil in an interview with Sporting News. “The landing was so heavy, my rear suspension went down to its maximum … I think I won’t ever forget this race.”

Indeed, Kornfeil had every right to be proud of his epic save, and he later also posted on his social media some awesome pictures capturing the moment.

Kornfeil then went on to finish the race in 6th place.
