Harley-Davidson Rolls Out ‘Freedom Promise’ Programme to Engage More Riders

Posted On : 03-07-2018

Harley-Davidson has come up with yet another strategy for their diminishing customer base, and this one looks to be rather interesting.

The Harley-Davidson Freedom Promise allows the rider to buy either a new or used motorbike, and when they trade it in within a year of riding the American company will honour the purchase price.

The only criteria is that the vehicles must be either new or used Street or Sportster bikes in stock model year 2012 or newer, and they must be claimed before 31st August this year.

After buying the bike, the owner will now be able to “enjoy the open road on [their] new motorcycle for up to one year”. When the riding is done, the owner just needs to trade it in within one year and get their original purchase price back in trade value toward a new 2017, 2018 or 2019 bike of greater value and not the same model.
In the three simple steps of buying, riding, and trading, this pretty much sums up the Freedom Promise programme. It’s as easy as that.

According to the press release, the Freedom Promise is meant to be “part of the Harley-Davidson Motor Company’s mission to grow the lifestyle of motorcycle riding and create two million new riders by 2027. With 10 Street and Sportster models all under a starting price of $12K, and our Freedom Promise offer, it’s easier than ever to get into the world of Harley-Davidson.”

Some have already taken up this amazing offer, and are glowing with praises.

“It’s my third bike but my first #Harley and I’m LOVING it. I love how the #FreedomPromise gives me the option to change bikes within a year if I want to upgrade,” a biker by the alias of Tiffany Y stated.

However, this program unfortunately seems to only be available for those living in the United States.
