Art Aficionados Couple Travels World on Two Wheels
A couple from Bethlehem will be preparing to go on a journey of a lifetime around the world. Choosing to travel by motorcycle, the duo hopes to create art and make international connections during their trip.
Chelsea Southard had met her boyfriend Alex Goldman while working in San Francisco, and after falling in love had hatched a plan together to make a difference in the world.

Speaking to WFMZ News, Goldman explained: “We both share an avid thirst for exploration and gaining more skills and experience. When we found each other, we figured this would be the best way to execute that.”
Other than sharing a love for motorcycles, the couple is also extremely passionate about art. And so, they have equipped themselves with their Suzuki DR 650 bikes to spread their enthusiasm about art over their five-year international mission which will take place in July.
“All throughout the journey, we plan on working and building with local communities to create art and really whatever we can find to contribute our skills as artists,” Southard said in an interview with WFMZ News.
She also stated that their journey will start in South America, before they sail to Australia and start riding their motorcycles to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Canada and finally ending in Alaska.
“We don’t expect it to be really over after five years but we know that it’s going to take about five years to get around the globe,” Goldman continued.
The couple has also affirmed that they are more than well-equipped - both physically and emotionally - to handle their expedition around the globe.
"We've done some pretty intense rides out there which have proved that we're really amazing travel partners and that's hard to find," Southard said.
"People who are happiest in the world do things because they love them and that's what we do," she continued.
"We've got a lot to offer to the world. The world has a lot to offer us and the more we travel together and the more we travel in the world the more we learn," Goldman finished.
By travelling around the world together on their motorcycles, the couple hopes to encourage others in love to do the same, as well as inspire a passion for art.
