6-Year-Old Boy Hopes to Buy Motorbike by Selling Iceberg Ice

Posted On : 23-06-2018

In another story that will make you go “aww”, Jax Ryland from Labrador, Canada aspires to purchase a two-wheeler by making use of the icebergs that just so happened to drift right into his neighbourhood.

Priced at $4 per bag, this little entrepreneur is already making cold hard cash with 60 bags sold. As the proud owner of Below Zero Iceberg Ice in L’Anse Amour, Labrador, young Jax already knows exactly what he will do with the profits, and with no overhead costs.

“I’m getting a motorbike,” the boy said.

In fact, he reportedly already has a specific model in mind - one with training wheels and from St. John’s, with a price tag of about $1000.

As he is still a child, Jax lets his father do the heavy lifting. “I leave that part to Dad,” Jax said to CBC News regarding the axing of the icebergs.

Instead, the adorable boy helps with the bagging, moving and storing of the iceberg chunks.

Jax, who also works with Youth Ventures, also said that they “had a hard time with it” and that “of course” his hands were cold.

Even so, the 6-year-old does not give up. He grits his teeth and continues working past the challenge to get to his coveted prize.

As reported by CBC News, his mother Lisa Davis-Ryland was not surprised at her young son’s success.

“Jax is just the kind of young fella that everyone’s taken a liking to so he’s getting a lot of support from family and friends,” she said. Elaborating, Lisa continued: “And where we live, we’re en route to the local lighthouse, so he’s hoping to drum up some business from the tourists.”

With such forward thinking, this boy is sure to succeed in his endeavours. Hopefully, he is already sitting on his new motorbike and developing a passion for riding.
